Established in 2019 by the visionary duo of Heiner Bollig and Veronika Bollig- Litner, Weingut UNTERLIND is dedicated to crafting exceptional Rieslings that embody the unique essence of the Mosel Valley. Embracing a minimalistic approach, they strive to create wines that epitomize the true character of the region.

The journey of UNTERLIND began with leasing three small parcels in the renowned Trittenheimer Apotheke vineyard. UNTERLIND’S inaugural vintage in 2020 garnered widespread acclaim, setting the stage for its promising future. Building on this success, Heiner and Veronika took ownership of 1.8 hectares of vineyards in Trittenheim, Brauenberg, and Leiwen in 2020, following Heiner's father's retirement.

While UNTERLIND may be considered a newcomer in the wine world, its youthful energy and modern approach have quickly captivated enthusiasts. Heiner and Veronika’s unwavering vision is to create classic Prädikatswein, a style that they believe perfectly captures the essence of the region like no other. Heiner trained with the best in this category as the vineyard manager for Egon Müller.

As UNTERLIND continues to evolve and establish its place in the Mosel wine scene, its dedication to quality and its commitment to showcasing the true potential of Riesling shine through in every bottle. Upholding tradition while welcoming innovation, Heiner and Veronika craft wines with passion, craftsmanship, and tireless pursuit of excellence.
